Hi Facebook Live, how’s everyone doing? I’m Rachel Resnick. Live from Joshua Tree, from the High Desert. I help you guys master your personal story, so you can win at business and life. Because personal story is the heart and the hub for everything. It’s so incredible. One of the things that I wanna help people with is how to start a day, because in some ways, your day is a story. And especially if you ground yourself in presence.

So I’ve been doing a lot of IG Lives, and I thought you know what, I also wanna do Facebook Live, I know there are all kinds of cool people here. So once again, just to introduce myself, because some of you may know me as the author of Love Junkie, or as a teacher at UCLA, which is a while ago now. I have been running my own business since 2006, it’s 12 years now. And honestly, the whole thing is fueled from my creativity. I’ve discovered a way that worked for me to create a really solid foundation, especially for us creatives, this goes for all the healers and coaches.

LET ME SHARE THIS POWERFUL 4-STEP RITUAL TO HELP YOU MASTER YOUR MORNINGS

I don’t have anyone else backing me. So I want to invite everyone to join me, because I’ve come up with a four step — lest I use the word process — a four step exploration of making your morning. And it’s a ritual, not a routine. If you’re like me and you’re creative, and that goes for if you’re corporate too — I work with all kinds of people. You can be an artist, an author, a speaker, a coach, a healer, you can come from corporate.

CREATIVES WILL TAKE OVER THE WORLD!

The truth is though, these days, how it works is we all are being invited to meet at the intersection here in the dusty desert. In the High Desert, where we marry creativity with entrepreneurship. That’s my belief. Now, this isn’t for everyone, because not everyone is an entrepreneur. If you’re like me and you’re rebellious, you might relate to my background.

I GOT FIRED FROM PRETTY MUCH EVERY JOB I HAD — HOW ABOUT YOU?

Honestly my story is, I got fired from pretty much every job I ever had. So you may be more of a Renaissance person than I am. I kind of was left in the desert and left up to my own devices, dependent on my own gifts to create an economy for myself.

This requires intense focus and groundedness. Peak performance. So, I wanna help you guys do it too.

IT’S IMPORTANT FOR COACHES AND MENTORS TO HAVE CREDIBILITY IN WHAT THEY’RE TEACHING! RIGHT?

For the replay viewers, I’m Rachel Resnick, I am an LA Times best selling author. I’m not saying that to be braggy, it’s just I think it’s really important to be able to stand solidly in creative authority. I know what it takes to dive into your personal story and come out the other end and write it in a way that’s entertaining. And also that provides personal development and insights, which is something so valuable in the marketplace, and also for us personally.

WHY THIS 4-STEP MORNING MAKING RITUAL IS DIFFERENT FROM ALL THE OTHERS

So, I have been honing and perfecting this 4-Step Morning Making ritual. I know there are tons of morning routines, and maybe other ones called rituals, I don’t know. But trust me. This one’s unique. Unique, and wildly effective.

CONFESSION:  I’M NOT REALLY AN EXTROVERT — ARE YOU?

I’m gonna be honest with you guys. I seem like I’m a ham. I seem extroverted. I gotta bring it though. It’s not my natural state. Because I’m what you call an ambivert. Maybe you guys can relate to this. You can’t be an artist, any kind of artist, any kind of creative, or a creative entrepreneur, if you don’t also love solitude. I love people, don’t get me wrong. But if I don’t have the solitude to balance it, I get out of whack. I get drained.

LET’S ENTER THE DISCOMFORT ZONE — TOGETHER!

So this is out of my comfort zone to show up here for you. I’m here because that’s how fiercely I believe in this 4-Step Morning Making Ritual.

That’s how committed I am to showing up on video and beyond because I know that the same thing that I say to my private clients, and my small groups in my retreats, is something that I’ve gotta live by too, which is:

DID YOU KNOW YOU’RE GIVEN GIFTS AND THEY’RE BIGGER THAN YOU? ARE YOU READY TO SHARE?

We’re all given gifts, and they’re bigger than us. Our mission, while we’re dancing on this earth, I believe,  is to share those gifts on as large a scale as possible.

So here I am.

BRENE BROWN IS MY HERO! THREE CHEERS FOR THE POWER OF VULNERABILITY!

The truth is, we have the capacity to do it if we step into our Discomfort Zone. Brené Brown — I’m sure you guys are fans of hers — tells us about the power of vulnerability. She also talks about how go towards discomfort, because that’s where the juice lies.

You guys have the capacity to create your own economies!

THE POWER OF PERSONAL STORYTELLING IS UNDENIABLE

The truth is, when we master the art of personal storytelling — which is what I help you guys do — you can cut through the noise, and you can reach other people. Even if you just do something like this, hop on a Facebook Live for a little bit of time, you can reach people who are waiting for your message.

One of my favorite sayings is:

WE ARE EACH THE ANSWER TO SOMEONE ELSE’S PRAYER

We are each the answer to someone else’s prayer.
